At a young age, Dr La knew she wanted to be in the healthcare profession. As she researched different career paths in high school, she found optometry and fell in love with it. Dr La enjoys spending time with her patients and getting to know them as an individual. She loves to spend her time volunteering, attending Optometric County meetings, traveling, skiing, snorkeling, and hanging out with her friends and family.

Education and Experience:
Dr. La graduated in the top 10th percentile of her high school class. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She was also the President of the Pre-Optometry Professional Society and was involved with the Lions Club and Special Olympics. Dr. La did her externship at Bridgebuilders Eye Clinic, which is a heavily ocular disease rotation site in which she gained a lot of knowledge on diagnosing and treating a wide array of ocular pathology (such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, trauma patients, neurological conditions, macular diseases, etc) as well as numerous cataract co-managements. Her other externship location was at a well-respected private practice in which she gained valuable experience in fitting keratoconus patients, post-refractive surgery patients, rigid gas permeable lenses, as well as many other ocular diseases. Her last rotation was at multiple clinics at the Optometry school, which included experience in pediatrics, low vision, specialty contact lens fitting, and ocular diseases.
Dr. La provides medical ophthalmic care for patients with eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetes. She also provides routine and comprehensive eye examinations for glasses and contact lens prescriptions. She loves having the ability to transform a patient’s daily life by giving them a new look and self-confidence by fitting her patients with contact lenses. She is also very knowledgeable in fitting multifocal and toric contact lenses. In addition, Dr. La has interests in dry eye, ocular allergy, trauma care, cataract management, refractive surgery such as LASIK, and providing eye examinations for children. She is also proficient in providing eye examinations in Spanish and Vietnamese.
